Well, you caring isn't really the point...

You may not care if Sony goes down, but you probably should. If the PS3 continues to do poorly, then less publishers will make games for it. You say you already own the system, so you don't care what happens. I think when there are spans with no new games (think end of life of Gamecube) I think you will care a lot.

Sony is a company that is out to make a profit. They are not in business purely to make awesome games or an incredibly powerful platform. If Sony cannot turn a profit from the PS3, they will abandon the platform and possibly the games business all together. Now, I hope that doesn't happen, because 3 successful competitors is better for gamers. I just think you should care just a little bit.
