Pro: Nintendo Wii

To all those who think Nintendo winning is bad for 3rd parties...

Is it Nintendo's fault that 3rd party developers had chosen to follow a sinking ship (PS3) over a year ago? Maybe if those developers had paid attention to what happened at the E3 show, with the 5 plus hour long lines for the Wii versus 25 minute waits for the PS3, things would have been different. If they instead thought, "It's not worth us having to sell 500,000 copies of a game for PS3 just to break even, when everybody seems to be interested in the Wii." Maybe, they should blame themselves for their bad decisions.

To be fair, I haven't heard much complaining from 3rd parties themselves, but just from analysts who seem to put the blame on Nintendo for being successful instead of the decision making of the 3rd party publishers. Just like they blame Nintendo's first and second party games thwomping the stuffing out of the 3rd party stuff. It's not Nintendo's fault that 3rd party developers try to make crap games as fast as they can, just to be on the shelves.

Even though publishers are a little late, it looks like most are on board with the Wii for this coming holiday season, especially with Wii originals and not ports with tacked on controls. Don't worry self-proclaimed video game analysts, 3rd party publishers should see better sales this coming holiday season.
