sony is just using the ps3
I dont think sony is trying all that hard to win the next gen dominance. If they wanted to do that they could have done it without the blue ray disc player. They are using the Ps3 to promote blue ray disc in an attempt to make it a standard. Therefore the money the may be loosing would deffinetly pay off if they succeed
