Pro: Wii FPS's

How to do it right
After what was seen as a less than perfect experience that was Red Steel, developers need to take a step back and reexamine the FPS for Wii. They need to throwout all the notions of PC & standard console FPS's to make it work. Two main ideas should fix it...strafing should not be a standard move and the wiimote pointer should not move the camera.
Ok, how many FPS fans are yelling and screaming at me right now? Just hear me out. How many people used the standard controller layout the first time they played Goldeneye? Did it hinder the fun-factor of the game because strafing was not an essential movement? No, it was fun because it was pick-up and play. Many people could understand how to play quickly instead of a steep learning curve of mouse/keyboard or dual analog setups.
That is what is essential for Wii FPS's, they should have the analog stick play like Goldeneye: up=forward, down=backward, left & right=TURN left and right. The wiimote pointer should be strictly for aiming and should not be able to move the camera at all. That would get rid of the awkward turning and still keep the excellent aiming of the Wii. It would also eliminate unintentional camera movement when you move the wiimote pointer off screen (to scratch your nose).
Developers could still have strafing, it may just be accomplished by holding down Z and then using the analog stick left and right. The point is that a Wii FPS should be easy to pickup and play, and not have steep learning curve that hampers Red Steel. These changes will make Wii FPS's fun and let anyone play.
