Why the Wii will win over hearts of moms

When I was a teenager and I bought a new system (SNES, PS1, N64) my mother always asked why I needed a new system when I already had one. The best reason I could come up with was 'the graphics are better'. My mom shrugged it off, not understanding. But now, with the Wii, we can show her that this system is different.

Our mom's didn't understand. Graphics were the defining factor with new systems for the past 20+ years. They could never understand the need for better visuals or more detail. This new generation of game consoles has even less of a graphical increase than the systems that preceded it. The argument with mom becomes mute.

Enter the Wii. With the Wii, you tell mom this is a different experience. Not only that, but you can SHOW her the difference. Heck, she may even want to be the one playing.

The Wii is much more family oriented than the other systems because anyone can play the games. And you play together as a family. Families that play board games together, can now play video games together.

Moms will also like that the games make you get off your lazy butt and get some much needed exercise. They will like that the console is not an eye sore in the living room and Wii-motes do not look 'out of place' on the coffee table. The Wii will be a family gathering point where everyone can join in on the fun. Nintendo has truly made a main-stream system.
